As early as the tender age of 5 years old, Jody often accompanied her mother on baking ventures. She watched her mom bake everything- from wedding cakes to fruit cakes, but Jody never thought much of how being in that environment would later reveal the passion deep within her for baking. During October of 2019 that passion finally ignited within Jody as she and her sister discussed her innate ability to bake coupled with her artistic creative flair in designing things. The combination of these two special skills sets later became the foundation of what we

now know as “Jodybakez” (penned by her sister) as derived from Jody’s middle name, “Jody-Ann”.

 

In December 2019, Jody decided to start marketing fruit cakes. Without hesitation, and with the recipe from her mother which was then altered by Jody, she put her hands to work in the kitchen.

After a delightful praise report from the consumers of the fruit cake, an order for cupcakes came in. At first, Jody did not think she could successfully make the cupcakes (especially since she

never made cupcakes before). However, after a successful first trial, she learned that not only did she enjoy baking, but she also enjoyed the decorating aspect of baking, which would later be the

perfect mixture for the business.

 

Jody’s journey is a great reminder of the Bible verse that says, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.” Ecclesiastes 9:10.

 

For Jody NO is never an option for trying new baking ideas.  She relies daily on the guidance of her God who divinely teaches, equips, and directs her path as she serves Him through the

business of baking and in daily striving to give Him the glory in all things. The combination of her love for baking and her GOD given creative designing skills were the perfect foundation for her company’s strategic business advantage – “Creating Customise Cakes”.

 

Since then, Jodybakez has been personally crafting customized cakes with great love, detail, passion, and creativity that have contributed to our over 90% customer retention rate. Our
